The city of Sao Paulo is known for its architecture towers, menage a troi certainly moderate height (no more than 160 meters high), menage a troi but particularly dense. Here is one of the first residential menage a troi use, carried out in the city: Columbus building.
This is one of the earliest in a largely modernist menage a troi precepts in Brazil. Built by Rino Levi early in his career (1934), it will be a sufficient impact to be published in an article in L'Architecture d'Aujourd'hui, of February 1939 (I pass out attached).

The facade develops so that a significant portion of the parts can have a double orientation, including the living room, one bedroom, and even the domestic menage a troi housing. The main part of the larger apartments have a completely unobstructed opening angle to enhance the panoramic view. Exposure and lighting facilities was clearly one of the main lines of thought of the architect, who was trying to give as much comfort menage a troi as possible in the frame of a building. The role of parts seems to be reflected by the size of the openings in front, which is in the inter-war years a common way, and not only among the modernists, to say "architectural sincerity." Only the windows, menage a troi ledges and balconies enliven the exterior walls, except those on the ground floor at the main entrance which temper this modernism for reasons of convenience menage a troi following the clientele targeted by these units.
The plan distributes the different apartments menage a troi in the center to avoid courtyards (considered unhealthy in a public health perspective) via a spacious hall, illuminated directly by the stairwell. The building is thus akin to a pad. Poles needed inside the building were arranged without really stand out from the plane. It's probably on that point that the modernist character of the building has been more moderate.
