Hopefully there will be some women feed the Wales U17 squad along West Wales Centre for Performance and Development Squad YBDC.
I was playing football with Dafen AFC for five years and I had invited to join the Regional Development Squad. After a time, I was released from the squad and stopped playing. But last year, Laura Thomas, our officer 5 60, enrolled in the school team tournament 5 60. I played and I enjoyed time! Colin Staples asked me to join the Wales squad under 17 and I went to Moldova to play baseball in an international competition! I just invited me to practice with the squad under 19, too! I do not think that would play for Wales now if I was in the tournament than 5 60 last year!
I hope we get more women to represent Wales Carmarthenshire but we are aware that's not possible for everyone. So we really want to help women join local clubs. If you would like to find a football types of stitches club near you, call Colin Staples on 01554 744 347 or e-mail, cstaples@carmarthenshire.gov.uk.
